LEDs in the kitchen

There is a large L-shaped kitchen with a modern dining counter.

The dining counter is made of a slightly transparent material and LED lightings are hid under the counter.

In that way, the counter itself slightly emits light and it creates a wonderful atmosphere.

Also, above the cabinet in front of the counter are display shelves and LED lighting is installed under the shelf, too.

And over the sink by the windows, fitting 3 LED downlights in succession designs to secure rhythm and lighting at hand.

We understand well that we'd better prepare only the necessary lighting in the necessary area, don't we?

The plan never costs a lot, but the design seems high value in terms of wealth.

By the way, all the  lighting fixtures are produced by Kichler Lighting.

A Kitchen with a nice outside view

Feeling the comfortable morning sunshine through the kitchen windows, you will enjoy the time preparing for the breakfast table.

You may want to open a window slightly to hear birds singing lovely songs in the fresh morning air.

Would you like such an open kitchen?

A wooden cabinet in the classic color of dark brown.

No hanging cupboard was planned as to provide enough clearance around your head so that you could enjoy the comfortable open space.

Both the clean countertop of granite in light gray and the kitchen walls coordinated with a color scheme of white brings you a fresh feeling.

Satin-like kitchen faucets greatly match the stainless sinks framed with granite countertop.

The faucets include a shower head and a soap dispenser.  You will feel pleasure when you wash the dishes.

Oh, I must tell you that the material of the faucets is designed to resist fingerprints and water spots which is another great feature of them.

Also I can tell you that an oxidized silver finish is selected for the material of the cabinet’s handles, and they match well with the satin-like faucets. It’s a tasteful design concept.

Designing by freely creating combinations of various components and materials freely is very important to achieve excellent results.

But usually it’s very difficult and people give up.

Only Home Made, who is a direct importer of foreign houses, can make it possible.

Import kitchen electric appliance which is reminiscent of 50s

What other people cannot do HOMEMADE.

Can you understandable the stubbornness from continuing to build imported house, although simple, modern has been the trend recently.

Personally, my favorite movie is American Graffiti, my favorite singers are Samuel Cooke and Elvis Presley.

The North American home electrical appliances that I found recently, is this.

Don’t you think the design looks like an old American car that was brought into the kitchen?

It goes without saying that the range as well as the dishwasher, micro wave, exhaust fan and refrigerator all have a retro American look to it.

North America and Japan use the same type of gas. However, we can’t use this gas range in Japan, because it has not been certified by the Japan gas association.

But, in Nagoya, we can use the gas top type radiant heater if the electromagnetic waves are less than IH.

The frequency is the same in West Japan and North America.

There are a lot of retro colors we can choose from, not just only red.

Price is a bit

high. However, it is good for people who want to enjoy designing their house.

We went to the Party at the house that our company concerned with.

Nearly 50 people participated in this party in the end.

How big party it is!

More than 2/3 people are from Canada or America.
The other people has a partner from abroad.

We have ever had such a party that most of participants were from abroad.
I could be understood if it was a reception of Embassy or Consular Office. but, This was just a home party.

By the way, It was a Pot Luck Party which participants should bring some food and drinks with them.We pleased to have wine, non-alcohol beer, fried chicken and Oni-manju.

Master baked sparerib for everyone on the wood deck outside.

This western style house with dry wall is the best situation to have a party like that.

Some of participants were really happy with it.

First of all, The built-in garage door made of wood. It seems to be a white castle with a huge gate.

A brown color wood shutter. Look at the picture on the above.

The garage door on the right side is not completed yet.
Imported garage door is made by wood panels and it piles up from the bottom.
It’s impossible to lift it up by yourself., because of it’s weight.
It also can’t do this by motor.

There is a coil-spring inside and utilize it to open/close the garage door.

Next, please look at another picture

Dining & kitchen with L-shape Bar style. You can see the rare designed imported cabinet.

Sense of Crystal !

People who are wearing accessories such as SWAROVSKI have been increasing in recent years in Japan. In North-America, There is a growing trend that they’re trying to take these crystals for house interior.

However, it seems to be difficult to match them with other interiors.
Straight shaped Crystal with modern chrome, The Electric Light harmonizes traditional style furniture with simple room design. (From picture on above) It’s also impressed with styles both modernism and tradition by put glasses and piece of pottery on the dining table.
How do we take Antiques into house!
We pleased to show you some example of designs or sense of designs.
but, everything will be designed by your idea. Of course, we do assist you as possible as we can.

Real American Residence in Nagoya, Japan

This house was built for American family staying in Nagoya, japan. They have many friends and hold a party together. So, a huge space was required here.

I installed the whole bricks at the first floor wall. And for the interior wall, I installed drywall like North America, though they are rare in Japan.

Of course, many building materials were imported from Canada. So, this house is a real western style house.

Please check the movie and enjoy it.

If you would like to know the details, please visit the following website. Thanks.

Imported Appliances

Some of customers want to install the appliances imported from North America in their new house.

It is easy for me, but usual home builders cannot do it because they are not familiar with such appliances and could not understand a installation guide in English.

Why shall we use such appliances in Japan?

I am a challenger and the design & dimension is different from Japanese one. I feel an American life style on them.

However, please be careful for the imported appliances!

There is no meintenance service in Japan because the warranty is applied in domestic only.

So, you have to be ready to re-import and replace it, if it goes wrong.

If you have no generosity about it, please choose domestic ones in Japan. Even considering such care, when you still like the design in North America, they are recommended.

A stone counter for island kitchen

A stone counter was put in Moriyama-ku, C's house by customer's strong request.

Weight 150kg and thickness 20mm. Cabinets for this island is bigger than usual, so the counter is huge.

The black stone with a tinge of Brown is polished carefully, and indeed it may look like mirror.

At installation the counter was lifted carefully by my staff, as it may crack.

Well, I was a craftsman of cake making in school days.
Of course, it's part-time work, but I was so professional and a boss entrusted every process.

At that time a counter was also made of a stone. So, I know a stone is most suitable for cooking.

It has high cooling function, but it isn't cooled rapidly so and that a tool is hurt.
And it is suitable to knead, to thin paste with water by hand.

I have thought that I wanted to use such stone for house building but it is so expensive.

So, in this time Home Made makes much effort to answer her request.

I must say it, the surface seems flat but stone is made of the small grains actually, there are also many gaps on the surface. So, when you spill water as it is, water enters into the inside.

Please be also careful in such thing and make a good dish by all means.

Let's go, Open House!

Today there are a plumber and a house cleaner in C's job site.

Yesterday my staff took sheets off for floor guard. So, I think that the cleaner can do his work easily.

I have not finished my work yet, but how about this interior?

The solarium dining is so beautiful with some arches which add a rhythm in the room.

Shadow of a big chandelier shows flower shape on the floor.

White mouldings and kitchen contrast with orange beige colour walls.

How do you feel it?

It is good opportunity to see the design of interior and exterior.

If you want to build such a elegant house, come and see here in this week end.

Open House information of Western Style House with Brick Cladding

I introduced the house before. At that time bricklayers were installing bricks. And I will complete this house in the middle of Apr.

So we'd like to hold an open house on April 10th (Sat) and 11th (Sun) prior to delivery. Time is 10:00-17:00.

I think that the job will be continued before a delivery, but this is also the ideal chance you can see interestingly.

Following picture is the kitchen with island, but a counter of the black stone is planning to be put on Island's cabinet soon.

The American design is also one of highlights, a shower room beside a main bedroom, a huge living room where you can deal with nearly 50 party visitors and a solarium dining.

The map is as follows, but if you are not available on the days, it's possible to guide you on a different day.

It's still the way. How about a kitchen? - C's house in Moriyama-

I showed a job site in Moriyama to the customer who build in Obu for his reference.

He wanted to check interior design, the color of the wall and the cabinet arrangement, etc.
I think that he will feel the elegant atmosphere here, but his house in Obu is designed a dignified image with quite atmosphere.
So, I think he could confirm that Home Made built houses with design variety in the wide range.

I'm always speaking to everyone about this thing. I build houses to use something which are the same manufacturer and the same spices approximately. But when they complete, the individuality of the customer goes out.

When I combine a wall in light beige with a tinge of orange color with beautiful pure white cabinet and knobs of bright brass, a kitchen is produced brightly.

And you can feel high grade here by a black kitchen counter, too.

We'd like to hold an open house here on April 10th (Sat) 11th (Sun). Time is 10:00-17:00.

When I receive a contact from you, I'll send a detailed map for e-mail.

Well, it'll be pleasant, when this house is completed. Do not miss it!

Country style kitchen sink: Chandler

It may be not easy to meet such a classical country style kitchen in Japan as this one. The apron of a sink is wide and over the front panels. It looks like a bathtub, doesn’t it? Double-barrel kitchen works great with this!
This sink is standard kitchen style in North America, a “double-sink”. The one bowl is to retain water and wash vegetable, and the other is for dishes to be washed, etc.
We, Home Made Company, are honoured to help to realize your dreams.

Decorative Kitchen by Antique Finish

In this category I introduce the design of kitchen in North America. In Japan many people think it as a practical field, but it also seems a display for North American people. So, their kitchen is always cleaned up and when they cook some dishes, they use a microwave or an oven instead of a range.
This cabinet is finished some colours with much time and labour. We call such a finishing as Antique Finish.
At first black or dark brown paint is done and white or beige, sometime red paint is covered on it. After drying, sanding work is done with sandpaper partly in order to show the dark paint on surface.
They make an image of antique on the cabinet by the finishing. We need the cost more but in North America there are many manufacturers which produce a high quality cabinet.
And they can provide you with some option, door design, wood spices, knob and accessories. We have never seen the variety of option in Japanese cabinet manufacturer.
Cupper pots and pans impress the antique at kitchen area. It’s real early American style, isn’t it! We must keep tradition and culture for next generation

Hampton Kitchen Faucet

The most popular colour for westren style houses in Japan is the gold.

A brilliant golden tap will give you some romantic impressions, recently, in North America, they have tended to chromes, looked like silver, or nickel, liked brushed old silver.

So it’s been harder to find a golden kitchen faucet in North America.

Because of its features, the long spout and the handles in crosses, it brings the good old days.

A pull-out spray faucet is equipped on the right. Push the button on the head, so as to shift from the tap to the spray faucet, and vice versa. The built-in hose allows stretching the head.

Your conformability in the kitchen will be increased dramatically.

Kitchen Plan

A house builder doesn’t draw any kitchen plan in house. It just measures the sizes and asks kitchen equipment manufactures some suitable sets, and then it can get some proposals of standard lines. So the builder has no trouble at all.

Although, for imported kitchens doesn’t work like that. We have to consider by our selves on the combinations of all equipments; hanging cupboards, cabinets as the base of the kitchen style, and also you need to know each cabinet size. If not, it can be troublesome during the installation.

The both of imagination and design sense are important in the planning phase, and it would be difficult for general interior designers or planners.

The pictures are from Mr. C, building new house in Moriyama, Nagoya city.

I drew other 7 patterns for vanity cabinet, etc. in English. All my efforts were to make the American cabinet manufacture understand and to provide us with their best ones. For special specification order, drawing is the best way to show the images.

Getting more concrete images, measuring them in English catalogues, it took ca. three days to finish all. Moreover, changing and adjusting occurred in addition… that needed easily more time. Can you imagine it?

Not only cabinets, but at same time occurred other things; design and specification of the counter plate, deciding cooking ranges, dish washing machines, sinks and faucets, micro-ovens, fridges, positioning etc.

We, Homemade may be only one which seeks the best of the best. The more maniac the order is, the more enthusiastic we get! Such leisure people have been disappearing in Japan.

Country sink 7048301 490

These last years, Canadian prefers natural taste. Their designs are inspired in the nature, for example, a bamboo is transfigured in a spout.

These Canadian trends I’m going to introduce later. Today, it’s about the return to the old country.

Now, in North America there are some major faucet manufactures and they produce mainly kitchen sinks in country style. It’s surprise that the major manufactures are the most ones.

You’ll enjoy on this vanity. if you are a big fun of country style. Though, there might be few people in Japan who will take it into their modern life. Western cultures keep their variety. The other way, in Japan, we just follow only one pattern.

No Japanese kitchen unit manufactures install this kind of sink, so the only way to get it is making your order to a foreign kitchen manufacture.

“Making a custom order” sounds “cost”, but custom order is major in North America and you need fewer than you think.

The price can also be a part of culture.

Kitchen shower faucet KC-1408CH

Recently, there have been few one-lever faucets in Japan. In Canada, where the two - lever is common yet, the one-lever is getting popular.

Is the one-lever type really necessary? The answer is “No”. The reason is that a temperature controller is installed in the water heater and you should be free from the stress against adjusting the temperature with a handle by yourself.

This faucet is a built-in shower type. A button is asset on the top of the faucet to shift the ways between the general water out let and the shower. The round head has realized a comfortable and fashionable grip.

Some domestic spray faucets are available nowadays but I hope they could produce a little bit more variety.

Ceramic valve is naturally used for this product which is stable for semi permanently.

The kitchen – Mr. Y’s house

We, Japanese, prefer golden faucets for western style houses rather. However, recently, in North America, chrome, “silver”, is major. We felt clean and simple from “silver”.

Mr. Y has chosen a chrome faucet and you may get a classical impression of it. It’s amazing that the combination of the imported white enamelled sink and the decoration of 100mm tile kitchen counter get lots class together.

The wrought-iron light matches it. The customers are using this. It may be no exaggeration to say that the interior is coordinated based on this light.

If there is a base of design first, it could help you realize a nicer house.

Kitchen Faucet K1320CWG

This faucet was demonstrated at the exhibition of Mr. K’s house in Chita city, and it will be set in his house.

The design is classic in North America: long neck spout, the levers separated in two: the one is for cold water and the other is for hot water, and the mount plate being combining the two main parts.

A lot of people who like imported houses may love a faucet like this. Its polished chrome colour for the hole of this product let feel cleanliness, and the glossy brass reflects gorgeousness. In addition, the white colour of the levers is lovely.

Japanese products are mainly one lever of chrome.Because, it is trouble-free to adjust the temperature. It’s easy but less funny.

Completed kitchen pictures will be shown later. Everyone feels great when they see these beautiful parts.
